A photograph is rarely just a photograph.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what happens when you stop looking at an image as the final piece, and start looking at it as a starting point.
One moment can hold so many possibilities.
The photograph might begin as something simple — a texture, an object, a shadow, a composition, a feeling. But depending on the context, it can become something completely different.
It could live within a fragrance brand.
Become part of an editorial story.
Turn into packaging.
Support a campaign.
Shape the feeling of a space.
Become part of a larger visual identity.
The image itself hasn’t changed.
The way we see it has.

The value is in the possibility
This is one of the things I love most about working across brands, spaces and experiences.
I’m naturally drawn to the in-between — the place where one idea can connect to another.
Rather than asking, “What is this image for?” I find myself asking:
What else could it be?
What happens if we change the context?
What happens if we introduce a product?
A different material?
A different story?
A different audience?
Suddenly, something that felt like one thing can become something else entirely.
Photography as a creative tool
I don’t think photography needs to exist in isolation.
For me, photography is one of the ways we can build a visual language. It gives us atmosphere, texture, emotion and a sense of place — things that can then move through an entire brand experience.
That might mean creating original imagery for a brand, but it can also mean taking an existing visual moment and finding new ways for it to work.
The image is just the starting point.
And I think there’s something exciting about that.
Because when you give yourself permission to look beyond the obvious application, you start to see more possibilities in the things you’ve already created.
One photograph can become many ideas.
One moment can move between industries.
And sometimes, the most interesting part is simply asking:
What else?
